St. Moritz has long championed a profound dialogue between art and the landscape, curating initiatives that shape the region's unique cultural identity. This winter, the Engadin continues its relentless pace of events: from avant-garde design and world-class galleries to pristine snow, a frozen lake, high-stakes Polo, intellectual talks, and shimmering soirées held within its iconic grand hotels.

Visual Narratives at the Hotel Reine Victoria

Within the historic walls of the Hotel Reine Victoria—a Belle Époque landmark just steps from the lake—the season is defined by the analog photography of Paolo Solari Bozzi. These large-scale black-and-white images capture the raw, frozen essence of Greenland’s winter. The hotel’s bar and lounges offer a serene, elegant setting where collectors and visitors can lose themselves in monumental icebergs, racing dog teams, boats navigating frozen seas, and Inuit guides commanding their sledges across vast, snowy vistas.

The Aesthetics of Motion: The I.C.E. Art Show

Hosted between the Kulm Hotel and the Country Club, the I.C.E. Art Show embodies the pure aesthetic DNA of "The I.C.E." It is a refined interplay of automotive engineering and creativity—a shared narrative where design, beauty, philosophy and speed converge to form the ultimate expression of the "art of movement."

Der Pavilion: A New Cultural Beacon

Debuting on January 29, 2026, Der Pavilion finds its home in the former Hotel Eden. Currently under renovation, this space has been reimagined to host site-specific exhibitions and performance art. A new cultural platform conceived by Giorgio Pace, this project will manifest as a constellation of shows and experiences designed to enrich the Engadin’s cultural life year-round.

NOMAD 2026: Architecture and Nature

For its ninth Swiss edition, NOMAD returns to celebrate the singular harmony between architecture, nature, and design in the magical Engadin valley. From February 12to 15, gallerists, curators, and collectors of avant-garde art will gather in the intimate and convivial setting of the newly renovated Villa Beaulieu.

MAZE: The Alpine Art Salon

The dialogue continues at the Theatre of the Hotel Reine Victoria with the upcoming inauguration of MAZE Swiss Alpine Art Salon (27.02.2026 – 01.03.2026). This salon bridges the gap between modern art, contemporary design, and the alpine environment, echoing the creative spirit of the recently concluded Engadin Art Talks in Zuoz and the renowned Museum Susch in the Inn Valley.
